The 24 Hours of Le Mans (Or as they say in French: 24 Heures du Mans) is an endurance-focused sports car race held annually near the town of Le Mans, France. It is the world's oldest active endurance racing event, the first of which took place in May of 1923. Unlike fixed-distance races whose winner is determined by minimum time, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is won by the car that covers the greatest distance in 24 hours. Racing teams must balance the demands of speed with the cars' ability to run for 24 hours without mechanical failure. The race is held in June, leading to very hot conditions for drivers, particularly in closed vehicles with poor ventilation; rain is commonly seen. The race begins in mid-afternoon and finishes the following day at the same hour the race started the previous day (because it takes exactly 24 hours...) On the contrary to all of this information, the only two things this Le Mans shares with the race is it's name... The Le Man's never ran at the world renown facility and never actually had any development at the circuit. This Le Mans (not the race, back to the car) has a 326Ci V8 and is mated to an automatic transmission. The black leather interior is super clean and about the only thing that would last for 24 straight hours flat out (my car wouldn't make it either...) The body is super clean with minimal to no dings or dents because it never had to slap doors with a Ferrari or the GT-40's of the era. Financing is available through Collector Car Lending and trades are welcome.
